Here is a book to add to the “children’s missals” category: Fr. William Kelly’s The Mass for Children. A full-color reprint of a 1925 publication, this volume combines pictures of the priest at Mass with pictures from the life of Christ or other parts of the Bible. The pictures of the Mass, although attractive (albeit just a tiny bit grainy from the duplication process), are not really numerous or evocative enough to make this purely a picture book. There is also a fair amount of text, of the descriptive, rather than the summarized-translation, sort.
Appropriately sized for small hands, it’s a good bet for young but capable readers (the words are likely too numerous for those still learning to read).
